Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres vs Berthe Morisot

Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's and Berthe Morisot's painting are both oil on canvas. They painted these oil paintings around the same year and both paintings have a girl. Now Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's oil painting of the girl looks very realistic and posing for the painting. On the other hand Berthe Morisot's oil painting of the girl does not look realistic and looks like the girl did not pose for this painting, an ideal image on the painters head. Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's oil painting used very dark bold and dark colors. The room is very dark and I believe it looks like she is thinking. However Berthe Morisot used very light colors and the girl is tying her hair. Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's oil painting does not really look like an oil painting. It's very sharp and has the image of the real girl in the painting. Berthe Morisot's oil painting does look like an oil painting with the lines all around the painting. Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's oil painting of the girl looks like she is rich or have a rich family. Her hair is very perfect and I am guessing somebody done her hair for her. She also have lots of accessories and furniture that many rich people had at that time. On the other hand, Berthe Morisot's oil painting of the girl does not look very rich. She is doing her own hair and does not have very nice accessories along with some furniture. One thing I noticed is Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's painting of the girl has a mirror and Berthe Morisot's girl painting has a hand held mirror. I like Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's oil painting of the girl because the girl looks realistic, however I like Berthe Morisot's oil painting because it looks like a real oil on canvas.
